This natural formula, prepared in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Dilek Öztürk, Prof. Dr. Nuri Mamak, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kürşad Yiğitarslan, Pharmacist Ahmet Ak, and Pharmacy Technician Ramazan Şencan, stands out as an effective solution for treating infection-related and non-infection-related foot diseases without the need for antibiotics.
Domestic and Herbal Solution for the Turkish Livestock Sector
This ointment, produced with local resources and based entirely on herbal ingredients, offers an important solution for the treatment of foot diseases that are commonly seen in large farms and occur at a rate of 40%. This product, which has the potential to save labor in the livestock sector by accelerating the treatment process, has been made ready for commercial use in both national and international markets. Thanks to its domestic production, MAKÜ's innovation aims to reduce Turkey's dependence on foreign sources in the livestock sector and also has the potential to find a place in international markets. The product, whose patent process has been successfully completed, has been registered by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office and has been introduced to the sector in a way that will increase the use of domestic products in our country.
MAKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar stated in his speech at the award ceremony that the university will continue its mission of contributing to society, responding to the needs of society through scientific research, and supporting the country's development. Rector Dalgar expressed that this project is an indication of MAKÜ's efforts to produce innovative and domestic solutions and stated his belief that this contribution to the livestock sector will serve as an example in other sectors as well.
